About Dencrest:
The Dencrest property conservation easement protects 135 acres of scenic open space comprised of large pastures separated by tree lines. The property features significant agricultural soils (the entire farm) and water resources. Two small ponds exist that are considered to be NWI Wetlands. The property is currently being used for equestrian activities and pasture and plays a critical role in the sport of foxhunting, providing open space for riders and bordering two of the most historic foxhunts in the United States. The property is highly visible from Atoka Road, which is a designated scenic Byway. The property is totally surrounded by other properties in conservation easement, making it now part of one of our country’s most densely conserved areas.

This program is held in partnership with Land Trust Virginia
