Student and Group Programs

Explore the NSLM with your group in-person or virtually!

We offer in-person and virtual tours of the NSLM for groups of all ages! Explore art at the Museum through the lense of STEAM, history, artistic adventure, or discover your inner bibliophile with collections in the F. Ambrose Clark Rare Book Room.

In-person Guided Tour Groups: 1 – 6 people per building 
Museum Tour Length: 45 minutes – 1 hour 
Library Tour length: 30 minutes – 1 hour 

Tours are offered in-person and virtually directly to your classroom. 

Tours are free for Public Schools during the School Year 

For Private Schools and Summer Camps tours are $3 per student. Virtual tours are available at a discounted classroom rate

All tours are customizable to suit your classroom needs and can integrate hands-on activities. Tours are conducted Tuesday – Friday from 9:30AM – 4:30PM.

Discover STEAM at NSLM through identification of  geography, plants, animals, food webs, and weather patterns inside artwork. Or, learn the biomechanics of a horse in motion through the construction of a moveable equine model and steeplechase obstacle. The possibilites are endless!

Fine Art and Rare Books ׀ All ages

Have you ever wondered how we care for rare books in the collection or what a fore-edged book is? Find out those answers and many more as we take you underground to the F. Ambrose Clark Rare Book Room. Our oldest book was published in 1523, will you be able to spot it?

NSLM offers guided Museum and Library tours for K-12 students that address a variety of learning styles, engage in critical thinking, investigation, and in-gallery activities.
