Mark Cann is the Director of The British Forces Foundation as well as his own Events and PR Company ‘CU2 Limited’. He is also the Director of The Combined Services Polo Association, which like the British Forces Foundation is fortunate to have HRH The Prince of Wales as its Patron. He sits on the UK Polo Council (HPA) and is also a Director of ‘First Defence’ a UK Foreign Affairs and Defence ‘Think Tank’ and the Armed Forces Common Investment Fund at BlackRock. Mark’s Army service, as a Major, in The Queen’s Royal Lancer’s lasting 12 years took him on operations to Belize, Mozambique, Bosnia, Gulf and Cyprus. He then served as a reserve commanding a Squadron of the Royal Yeomanry for two years. As Director of The British Forces Foundation, The UK equivalent of USO, Mark specialises in putting on large events. Many of these events, of which he is the Producer, have been televised in a variety of locations from Iraq to the Falkland Islands. His BFF work takes him to all War Zones. Mark is passionate about sport and regularly enjoys skiing, polo and tennis. He has played in a number of exotic locations including Palermo, Palm Beach, Ghana, India and Pakistan. He often played with HRH Prince of Wales and his two sons in both The British Forces Foundation and Highgrove teams. Mark is married to Emma a Company Director, School Governor and very talented equestrian and has a daughter Emily and twin boys Frederick and Barnaby. They live in Wiltshire, England.
