Flytying Workshop with Jim Bensinger (Youth)
Learn to tie fishing flies with Regal Vise pro-staff tier and owner of Fiber Flies Dubbing, Jim Bensinger. Whether you are an experienced fly angler or have never tied a fly before, we will show how to tie nymphs, dry flies, and winged wet flies. Students will practice tying fundamentals such as thread control, attaching materials, wrapping materials, dubbing, hackling, and finishing the fly.
Workshop is limited to 15 people per class.
Youth (Ages 8 – 14): 10AM – 12:30PM
Adult (Ages 15 and up): 1:30PM – 4PM
All supplies and materials are included.

About your instructor:
Jim Bensinger is a retired U. S. Marine (1987-2007) Infantry Small Unit Leader, and the owner of Fiber Flies Dubbing. Fiber Flies is a small local business specializing in natural fly tying materials.
Jim first began fly tying in 1985 and quickly developed a knack for the art. He has been a commercial tier, and is currently a professional demonstration tier/instructor and member of the Regal Vise Pro Staff. He has been a long time featured tier at the Virginia Fly Fishing and Wine Festival, the International Fly Tying Symposium, the Fly Fishing Show in Lancaster Pennsylvania, and both Somerset and Edison New Jersey. His favorite style of flies are classic winged wet flies (in the Ray Bergman style) and North Country Spiders (wingless wet flies).
