Go Native!

Thinking about your spring and summer garden?  Join us on March 11th to be inspired about the importance of native plants in our Piedmont region. Learn more about how native plants are the building blocks for wildlife habitat and support a vast diversity of insects, birds, and other species, but also aid with clean water, soil health and provide us with a sense of place. We will learn what thrives in the Piedmont region, what resources are available, and how important it is to go native. Finally, we will have a chance to reflect on the critical importance of biodiversity.

As Dr. Doug Tallamy has noted, we should “garden as if life depended on it!”

Celia Vuocolo, co-chair of the Plant Northern Piedmont Natives Campaign and habitat specialist at The Piedmont Environmental Council will be presenting.

Free for NSLM and PEC members and $10 for non-members. Sign up as a Member oNon-Member to this program and plan your garden with us!

Courtesy of the PEC, three participants will be randomly selected to win a Native Virginia Plant Guide during the program!
