Julie Kenny Banner joined the NSLM in May 2023 as the Clarice & Robert H. Smith Education and Marketing Director. She oversees marketing, communications, programming, and visitor services.

Julie earned her BFA degree in theater and art studio from the University of Kentucky. Born and raised in Baltimore, she’s a graduate of the Garrison Forest School. Before working at the NSLM, she enjoyed a robust career with marketing and advertising agencies in Middleburg and Baltimore.

In her free time, she enjoys foxhunting, showjumping, gardening, reading, and jewelry making. Julie currently lives on a farm in Marshall, VA, with her herd of horses, dogs, and cats.
