Julie Banner joined the NSLM in May 2023 as the Clarice & Robert H. Smith Education and Marketing Manager. She oversees marketing, programming, and visitor services.

Julie earned her BFA degree in theater and art studio from the University of Kentucky. Born and raised in Baltimore, she’s a graduate of the Garrison Forest School. Prior to working at the NSLM, she enjoyed a robust career with marketing and advertising agencies in Middleburg and Baltimore.

In her free time she enjoys foxhunting, showjumping, gardening, reading and jewelry making. Julie currently lives in Marshall, VA with her husband, horses, dog, and cats.
