December Sunday Sketch for Families and Artists

Families and Seasoned Artists are welcome for Sunday Sketch with Alice Porter!

Have you considered visiting the NSLM? Sunday, December 29 is the perfect opportunity for families and artists! For our final Sunday Sketch of the year, Alice Porter will offer families and seasoned artists insight into our exhibitions from an artist’s perspective. Alice will address questions such as:

“What factors are involved when an artist creates a body of work?”

“How do pieces of art end up in a museum?”

“How do exhibits provide a window to a specific culture?”

Following the discussion, the group may choose to draw, or study works in the Museum that catch their eye. To close the session, families and artists will gather to share their work and unique experiences from the day at the NSLM!

December 29, 2024 in the Museum from 2pm – 4pm

Participation is free and all materials will be provided. All ages and abilities are welcome. RSVP is not required, but you may contact our Clarice & Robert H.
