The Gardens of Bunny Mellon with Author, Linda Jane Holden
Join us for an evening that includes a cocktail reception followed by an author discussion, Q&A, and book signing. Linda Jane Holden will discuss her book, The Gardens of Bunny Mellon, which celebrates the life and work of renowned garden designer Rachel "Bunny" Mellon, featuring her private gardens at estates like Oak Spring and public projects like the White House Rose Garden, illustrated with her sketches and photographs. Holden, who interviewed Mellon extensively before her death, provides a biography and guide to Mellon's influential, self-taught style, which blended humility with impeccable taste across numerous homes and for friends like Hubert de Givenchy.
"For admirers of the inimitable style of Bunny Mellon, and the innate design flair that took her—without formal training—to the White House and Versailles, the upcoming book, The Gardens of Bunny Mellon, is a tome to treasure."
