Clarice & Robert H. Smith Education Coordinator
Emily Reeb started as the Clarice & Robert H. Smith Education Coordinator in January of 2022. She is responsible for engaging the public in the NSLM’s mission through tours and educational programs for the community and K-12 school groups. In addition to her role as the Clarice & Robert H. Smith Education Coordinator she assists with daily Library operations and managing the NSLM gift shop.
Emily first started working for the NSLM in July 2021 as a Visitor Services Associate and in the fall of that same year she was appointed a Curatorial Internship. She has a Master of Arts from the University of St Andrews in Geography and has previously interned with the Smithsonian Institute Libraries World of Maps program and the Archeology and Collections Branch of the Fairfax County Government as an Archeology Lab and Field Intern. In high school, she enjoyed working as a volunteer teaching assistant for her local elementary school and helped carry out educational activities for the students.
Having grown up in Virginia’s equestrian community, she has a passion for the NSLM’s mission and is excited to be involved in promoting it through educational programs. In her spare time, Emily enjoys hiking, baking, and attempting to learn the acoustic guitar.
