Community Programs

The NSLM holds monthly and annual community programs that are free for all participants, including Fox Tales Story Time, Sunday Sketch, and Open Late. These family friendly events offer something for everyone.

Fox Tales Story Time

Join us on the last Saturday of each month at 10:30am, in the main reading room of the Library for Fox Tales Story Time, in partnership with the Middleburg Public Library. Gather the family and find a cozy spot in the NSLM's main reading room for a story hour that celebrates the story time tradition of Middleburg Library and the history and inspiration of the National Sporting Library and Museum. Free, all ages welcome. 

Sunday Sketch

The NSLM works with local artists to offer a free drawing workshop on the last Sunday of every month. There is a virtual skill share from 2:00pm - 2:15pm streamed on Facebook Live, followed by an in-person workshop at 2:30pm. Participation is free and all materials will be provided. All ages and abilities are welcome. Located in the Museum. 

2023 Open Late Concerts

June 30, July 28, August 25 (Rain Date)

The Open Late Concert Series occurs on the last Friday of the month in June and July. Bring your chairs or blanket and enjoy a free concert on the lawn of the National Sporting Library & Museum. The concert and museum admission are free and open to the public from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Picnics are welcome but no glass containers or outside alcohol is permitted. Concessions will be available, and there is free parking onsite. Pets must be leashed. We invite you to visit the Town of Middleburg early to support local businesses.
