Landscape Oil Painting Workshop with Megan Lark Caldwell

Painting en plein air season is around the corner! Take advantage of the opportunity to brush up on your landscape oil techniques. This workshop is for all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.

Megan Lark Caldwell of Sweetrock Studios (Bluemont, Virginia) has been teaching oil painting for more than 20 years. Inspired by her surroundings, she paints landscapes and human and animal portraits.

In this two-day workshop, learn how to create a landscape oil painting from start to finish.  All stages of painting will be done in the Founders Room. The workshop includes demonstrations by the instructor for each step of the process. Students will have the opportunity to practice each step along the way with close individual guidance from the instructor.  Focus for the workshop will be placed on composition, values, form, and color.  By the end of the workshop, students will have the necessary tools to create a successful landscape painting just in time for Spring. All supplies needed are included in the workshop price. Because individual attention is a priority, space is limited.
